Why does the Mccain campaign adviser say that issues don't matter in this election?

Where's he been livin? Why does the Mccain campaign adviser say that issues don't matter in this election?
Because if this election were fought on the issues Obama would be a shoe-in for the top job. But make it personal; make it racial; make it about Hockey Moms vs Secret Muslims and the Reps might just have a chance. Why does the Mccain campaign adviser say that issues don't matter in this election?

CAN you find Mccain ';issue'; plan on the net?

Makes sense since the McCain camp hasn't discussed any issues. Funny how McCain is running on 'change', when he represents the party that has held the executive branch for 9 years, until two years ago, the entire legislative branch since the mid 1990's and two Supreme Court appointments. So, McCain is saying that his own party did a horrible job. Maybe he could talk about that?
The only issue a Republican can think about is War,. Go back into the History from the 80's of the Republican Party. A good place to start is Ronald Reagon and Bush #1,. Follow the History in how they Created Wars between Iraq and Iran. Compare the Admin of Reagon, Bush #1 and Bush #2, and you will find the same Admin.with Reagon, Bush #1 was also with Bush #2. The Warmonger Party!
I assume he means that the Dems have set the bar and the standards for this election according to the polls and the choices made in the primaries.

This is more about identity politics this election cycle!

Since that's the game ...let's play!
If the issues don't matter they can play the ';morals'; game. They can't win this election on issues when the unemployment rate is at a 5 year high and they constantly trash the unemployed.
Because they know they are screwed on the issues this election cycle.

They are just going to do what they do best - scare and inflame the ignorant masses who can be scared by those who are different than them.
Listen to this bunch and you get the feeling that they don't know what the issues are. McGoo thinks war and recession are normal, and Bullwinkle thinks it's all Gods will. No wonder they steal all their elections.
Well for Rep's they never look at the issues. They just vote for them because they have an R by their name. Why do you think we had Bush put in office twice.
he means, ';I desperately hope that issues don't matter in this election, because if they do McCain's going down';.
I can't believe Obama said that and expected his supporters to believe it. He must think they're stupid...or desperate.
Anyone who would make that statement is an irresponsible fool.
