The spouses play a role because they can say what the candidate can't say because it's too negative and then the candidate can apologize for their spouse.





Michelle Obama's latest gaffe was quite over the top though.
I think the media needs to remamber who is running for office and cover THEM instead.

It's hard enough being the candidate and having every word and phrase disected. People sometimes speak and it comes out wrong. Nobody really cares. If she said that's what she acctually meant, well that's another story. Bill and Michelle... are not running. Keep your eye on the ball.
Yes, Obama's wife is anti-American, and everybody knows that Bill Clinton will be the one really incharge of the country, so I won't be able to vote for either of them.
Honestly, I feel that what is said all around is taken out of context and then exploited...and the same applies for the spouses...





It's difficult to remain completely ';positive';, especially in the limelight, and one misstep is a cause for such great concern...
